QR Codes in the Classroom

Have you started using QR codes in your classroom yet?
If you aren't, you need to start! After all, we are teaching in the 21st century! While The Jetsons used to seem like such a far fetched cartoon when we were younger, technology is here to stay and teachers need to keep up! Making QR codes is very easy and doesn't take much time at all! All you need to do is visit quirify to get started! I have made a QR code with my contact information that I am going to display on my school website and also hang by my door for Back to School Night. All the parents have to do is scan it into their smartphone and my info. is there to stay. No more having to send off my contact info. over and over! I've also made a QR code to link directly to my TpT Store . Go ahead, get out your smartphone, make sure you have a free QR Reader and scan the code! It will take you directly to my store!
I also plan on making QR codes that link up to quia comprehension tests and gluing them into the chapter books in our class library. How do you use QR codes in your class?

I would love to get more ideas on how to use QR codes in my first grade classroom. I found some awesome ones at the end of last year & they kids were really excited. I haven't made my own yet. Thanks, Jackie
